What we collect, how we use it, and what we do not (yet) do.
This policy explains what information Kids Hockey (kids-hockey.com) collects, how we use it, and what choices you have. We've written it to reflect our site's actual, current practices — not a generic template — so some sections describe things we don't yet do (like process payments or maintain user accounts with a real backend) precisely because they aren't live yet.
Kids Hockey is operated by [TBD — legal entity name], based in [TBD — jurisdiction / registered address]. This section will be completed with our formal business details before this policy is treated as final.
We use the information above to run the site (showing relevant location-based content), understand and improve usage patterns (analytics), and remember your cookie preference so we don't ask again on every visit. We do not sell personal information to third parties.
See our full Cookie Policy for details. Our on-site banner lets you choose Accept, Essential Only, or Decline. Google Analytics is not loaded on your device at all until you choose Accept (or previously chose Accept on an earlier visit) — the Google Analytics script itself is only added to the page after that choice, not merely hidden or ignored afterward.
Our content is about youth hockey, but the site itself is intended for use by parents, guardians, and coaches researching on behalf of a young player — not for direct use by children. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children through this site.
Your cookie-consent choice and cached location stay in your own browser's local storage until you clear your browser data or decline — we don't currently copy either of these to our own servers, so there's no separate server-side retention period for them today. Analytics data is retained per Google Analytics' standard retention settings. Once real accounts or payments exist, this section will be updated with specific retention periods for that data.
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal information we hold about you. The specific rights and request process applicable to Kids Hockey (e.g., under GDPR or CCPA) are [TBD — to be confirmed with legal counsel based on our operating jurisdiction and user base].
We take reasonable measures to protect the limited data described above. Since we don't currently process payments or maintain real user accounts, the highest-sensitivity categories of data (financial, credential) aren't yet applicable — this section will expand meaningfully once those features go live.
We'll update this page as our actual practices change — for example, when real payments, real accounts, or full analytics consent-gating go live — and update the "Last updated" date below accordingly.
We don't yet have a dedicated privacy contact address. Until one is set up, reach us at coaching@kids-hockey.com, or see [TBD — a dedicated privacy/legal contact email] once available.
Last updated: [TBD — date of legal review] — draft pending legal review. This page was drafted using our own site's real, current data practices as the source of truth (not a template from an unrelated business) and is not yet finalized by counsel.
